The Reebok 1000 ZX seems to replace the Reebok RL 900 with power incline. You cannot purchase this machine at the ICON Fitness site for Reebok but it is sold at mass sporting goods retailers like Dick’s and Sports Authority. This machine is a re-branded version of the NordicTrack AudioStrider 990 that can be found at Sears. For $999 you get a lot of bells and whistles but you have to wonder how strong the quality is with a folding elliptical that also has power incline.
UPDATE: This machine is no longer available. The only Reebok elliptical available on the market is the RL 1500. For other great machines in this price range, please see the Schwinn elliptical machines like the Schwinn 438.

The 18″ stride length should feel comfortable for people who are taller than 5′6″ and shorter than 6′0″. In addition to the resistance levels, you can vary your workout with 5 levels of incline between 10 and 30 degrees to target various muscles.

The LCD console is a new white, backlit display showing time, revolutions, ramp incline level, carbs burned, RPM, resistance, calories burned, pulse, distance, etc. There are 20 workouts, 2 programmable programs, and 2 heart rate control programs. Without a chest strap, the heart rate control programs require constant grip of the stationary handlebars. The console has built in iFIT technology and speakers allowing connection of your MP3player.

This is a unique folding elliptical that also has adjustable power incline. The folded footprint is 48″ L x 26″ W x 77″ H allowing you to store your elliptical machine in smaller spaces. Because of the folding and incline mechanisms, and extended warranty would probably be a good idea. But at 245 lbs, it may be difficult to fold up.

I have a Reebok 1000 ZX and it is so cool because you can hook up your iPod to the speakers. I love that it is iFit compatible. iFit is a little card, almost looks like a memory card, that you insert into the elliptical and you have your own personal trainer. There’s a voice that cues you and motivates you and the workouts get a little bit harder the stronger you get. I love it!

Of course you can still buy this at sports authority…. i am a manger there and it is just getting hot…. i just bought one for my mothers gift and i love it at the store

Yes, these are still available at many sporting goods retailer’s sites as well. The benefit of this is no sales tax in many states. May also be able to find some lingering Black Friday discounts if you do a little web browsing.

i paid $695 at GNC
plus sales tax and $120 for an additional 3 year warranty on parts and service, the total came to $880, which is $280 less than ordering the audiostrider 990 from nordic track direct for $1160 including delivery and 4 year extended warranty) (i also didnt have to wait 5-10 business days for delivery, i drove home with it in my car the same day) Sears would have charged $1340 or $1455 for so i got a good deal. I also had someone carry the unit up to my apartment and assemble the unit for $50, nordic track and sears charge between 150-200 for the same service…

Hi! I need help determining distance on my new Reebok 1000 ZX purchased from Sports Authority. The monitor shows rpm but now how many miles or distance. How do I determine this?
